Microsoft Malware Protection Center (MMPC) to identify the presence of malware or a malicious program hidden in the image file. Malware currently circulating on the message board 4chan apparently is the latest stage of evolution called 4chan.js the first attack came in 2008.Not surprisingly, this latest iteration 4chan.js user trust will depend on the image file format and ignorance will be the format. HTA. .PNG file infected storing data in a compressed format that does not seem dangerous. Do you see signs of fine hairs on the bottom of this picture? Actually this is the compressed data is then stored in the picture. Users may follow the instructions inside. PNG and save the file in bitmap format or .BMP with extension .HTA. The malware authors assume the average user will follow the instructions or want to see what will happen. Of course most users will trust with existing image formats and may not be aware that the same image file can contain malware script. I recommend that you do not follow the instructions that appear in the image. Especially if the instruction requires changing the file and run it in different ways. In fact, I strongly recommend not running the random file format .HTA at all. |
